Job Description:

The Audio-Visual Specialist will advance and support all audio visual, classroom, and event technology. They will coordinate and enable the delivery of IT and audio visual services for the college community events and classrooms. This person will actively advance and promote Le Moyne College's mission, strategic priorities, and commitment to care for the whole person.

Job duties specific to this position:

  • Collaborate directly with service requesters to ensure that all technology requests and needs are anticipated and fulfilled for their AV needs
  • Coordinate administrative functions regarding campus events including paperwork, reporting, and staffing
  • Evaluate AV needs for classroom and events and perform quality assurance tasks to ensure quality and professional service to the community
  • Support and manage AV vendor relationships
  • Support and assist with web conferencing software, webinars, and virtual meetings
  • Attend and participate in coordination meetings with the event management team and campus partners
  • Utilize establish service management tools to record, prioritize, and document service delivery activities
  • Update and maintain the College's inventory of equipment necessary to provide AV services and participate in AV asset management duties
  • Conduct regular inspections of AV equipment and systems and keep updated logs of preventive maintenance activity.
  • Assist with the installation, operation, support, and maintenance of all audio and video equipment and control systems in instructional spaces, conference rooms, and event venues
  • Promote and facilitate effective use of technology in support of the academic mission of the college in conjunction with Instructional Design and Academic Technology staff.
  • Train and assist the College community in the operation of AV systems through individualized orientation sessions and on-site support
  • Develop and maintain documentation on the support and use of AV systems
  • Assist in the management and training of student employees for AV and Event Support
  • Serve as a member of the team that is responsible for Support Services on call evening and weekend support
  • Assist in preparation of annual operating and capital budgets including regular/cyclical replacement of AV equipment and systems
  • Assist and provide secondary support of AV Specialist 2 principal duties and essential functions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic preparation from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Two (2) years of experience in support of audiovisual and/or classroom technology
  • Experience supporting and managing web conferencing software, webinars, and virtual meetings preferred
  • Able and willing to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • Familiar with IT service management, including incident, service, change, and configuration management, process and systems documentation and life cycle management preferred
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Macintosh operating systems, networking technology and instructional and academic computing applications appropriate  or a college
  • Intellectually curious with a passion for personal development, learning, and teaching

Pay Range: $20.00-$25.00/hr
