We are currently seeking a full-time and onsite Community Director in Student Housing. This position offers a role with flexible hours to include normal business hours and evening hours, supervises a unique team of students, and is an integral part of our Student Housing team to create an exciting atmosphere full of memorable experience for our 1500+ on campus students.

 

This position is a 10-month position (August-May) and requires the incumbent to reside in PFW Housing. Night and weekend work will be required on a rotating basis. Optional summer (June-July) employment possible depending on department need. The monthly salary for this position is $3227.30

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising student staff.
  • Oversee, complete, and maintain staff training, employment paperwork, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate and supervise Resident Assistants.
  • Ensure programming, intentional interaction, and coordination with campus partners.
  • Coordinate large scale programing initiatives to engage Student Housing Residents.
  • Create and sustain a living environment that promotes academic success, student leadership, and responsibility to community.
  • Serve as conduct officer, address behavioral concerns, respond to emergency or crisis situations, review and follows-up to incident reports, and upholds policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of visibility and approachability to encourage campus and community engagement.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of PFW policies and procedures and provide timely communication and reports.
  • Maintain social media platforms.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Housing, Student Affairs, or Counseling.
  • Experience participating in on call duty rotation with emergency response.
  • Previous Higher Education experience.
  • Ability to reside in PFW housing.
  • Ability to work rotating nights and weekends.
  • Knowledge of campus housing, programming, and student leadership.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in Higher Education.
