Faculty Responsibilities:

Saint Mary's College invites applications for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor in Clinical/Cultural Psychology, beginning Fall 2024. The candidate should be a clinical, counseling, or school psychologist with an emphasis on culturally responsive teaching, research, and practice. We are particularly interested in recruiting faculty who focus on cultural factors that impact mental health and treatment with traditionally under-represented communities. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated scholarly and pedagogical experience in anti-colonial and anti-racist approaches, and in working with marginalized populations.

The responsibilities for this position will include teaching sections of Cross-cultural Psychology, Psychopathology, Theories of Counseling, and Introduction to Psychology . The successful candidate should be prepared to teach other courses as well, potentially including Race & Ethnicity in Psychology, Health Psychology, and/or Psychology of the Family.

Qualifications:

Ph.D or Psy.D. in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from an APA-accredited institution must be completed by start date. Candidates should have a record of teaching excellence at the undergraduate level, with preference given to those candidates who have successfully taught the courses listed above. An APA-accredited internship is strongly preferred, as is a candidate who is already licensed or license-eligible.
