Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment and Dean of Admissions, this full-time, 12-month, exempt position serves as a primary recruiter and territory manager for the Office of Admissions. The successful candidate will have an understanding of higher education, is a self-starter, and has the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team-oriented environment.

Job Duties:

  • Contact prospective students and applicants using all methods available, including phone, email, text, and social media.
  • Represent Dean College at in-person and virtual college fairs, high school visits, and other recruitment events.
  • Monitor prospective students' activity from inquiry to enrollment.
  • 8 to 12 weeks of recruitment travel, which is heaviest in September-November and March-April - travel will include major metropolitan areas in the Northeast.
  • Responsible for researching and planning all aspects of their recruitment travel in a defined territory.
  • Conduct student interviews and evaluate prospective students.
  • Review applications for admission.
  • Coordinate admissions-related activities, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide admission presentations to campus visitors and various constituent groups in person and virtually.
  • Complete routine reports related to recruitment, enrollment projections, personal schedule, travel, and special programs.
  • Evening and weekend work will be required.
  • Other responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, assisting with on-campus events or transfer admissions.

Preparation, Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience working in higher education preferred.
  • Minimum of one year professional or student admissions experience, preferred.
  • Experience with the Slate CRM System preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse campus setting.
  • Demonstrate experience handling multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain good organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with an attention to detail.
  • Experience utilizing technology including Microsoft Office, web-based tools, and student information systems.
  • Proficiency in more than one language is highly desirable.
