Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment and Dean of Admissions, this full-time, 12-month, exempt position serves as a primary recruiter and territory manager for the Office of Admissions. In addition to a geographic recruitment territory, the individual will serve as the primary recruiter and liaison for the Arch Learning Community and the Engage Program. The successful candidate will have an understanding of higher education, familiarity with working with learning support programs, is a self-starter, and has the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team-oriented environment.

Job Duties:

  • Serve as the primary recruiter for the Arch Learning Community (a support program for students with diagnosed learning disabilities) and the Engage program (a support program for students with adjustment and social functioning challenges).
  • Admissions liaison to the Director of the Arch Learning Community and the Engage Program.
  • Represent the College at conferences, panels, and other speaking engagements specific to our learning support programs.
  • 8 to 12 weeks of recruitment travel, which is heaviest in September-November and March-April - travel can be local, regional, and national.
  • Responsible for researching and planning all aspects of their recruitment travel in a defined territory.
  • Conduct student interviews and evaluate prospective students.
  • Review applications for admission.
  • Contact prospective students and applicants using all methods available, including phone, email, texting, and social media.
  • Representg Dean College at in-person and virtual college fairs, high school visits, and other recruitment events;=.
  • Monitor prospective students' activity from inquiry to enrollment.
  • Coordinate admissions-related activities, processes, and procedures;
  • Provide admission presentations to campus visitors and various constituent groups in person and virtually.
  • Comple routine reports related to recruitment, enrollment projections, personal schedule, travel, and special programs.
  • Evening and weekend work will be required.
  • Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, event management or recruitment of specialty populations such as transfer students.

Preparation, Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of admissions experience.
  • Experience with the Slate CRM System preferred.
  • Experience and/or familiarity working with learning support programs at the secondary school or college level.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse campus setting.
  • Demonstrate experience handling multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain good organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with an attention to detail.
  • Experience utilizing technology including Microsoft Office, web-based tools, and student information systems.
