Albion College invites applications for the Director of the Anna Howard Shaw Center for Gender Equity and Victim Advocacy. This position will manage the day-to-day operations of the Center, serve as the College’s Victim Advocate and provide support services and resources for LGBTQIA students. The Director will serve as a liaison with both campus and community partners to provide high-quality care and student support as well as address barriers to student social well-being and ability to thrive. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload with sensitivity and confidentiality. This position will actively promote diversity, belonging and equity through critical and compassionate communication and strategic outreach efforts to various students, faculty and staff (e.g., historically under-represented, first-generation, undocumented and DACA students, LGBTQIA students).

Qualifications

  • Master’s in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in sexual assault advocacy, case management or counseling related work
  • Experience serving a diverse population of students.
