Community Manager/Director of Residence Life - 352 Beds of First-Time Student Housing

Servitas Management Group, LLC (SMG) and Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) have formed a unique partnership focused on providing an excellent living experience for Students attending SRJC in Santa Rosa, CA. SMG believes that the right Director of Residence Life will be instrumental to the success of this partnership and the opening of the first on-campus housing community.

Founded in 1918, SRJC's 100+-acre Santa Rosa Campus, located 52 miles north of San Francisco, is one of the most beautiful campuses in California's 108-campus community college system and is largely characterized by elegant turn-of-the-century ivy-covered brick buildings, towering oak trees, flower gardens and manicured lawns in a park-like setting in the heart of Santa Rosa. In addition to its state-of-the-art classroom facilities, laboratories, and conference-winning athletic programs, the campus houses a Planetarium, an Art Gallery, Summer Repertory Theatre, and the Jesse Peter Native American Museum.

The primary responsibility of the Director of Residence Life is to provide leadership and direction for the business affairs, facility management, and Residence Life activities for Santa Rosa Junior College's first-time housing (352 Beds opened in August of 2023). 

Responsibilities include:

  • Communication and liaison with NCCD, LLC and SRJC
  • Hiring, training, and supervision of professional staff
  • Monitoring of Operations and capital budget
  • collection of housing fees and delinquencies
  • Administering housing assignments and lease enforcement
  • Supervision of facility maintenance
  • Development of marketing plans along with marketing and leasing materials
  • Developing and implementing the Residence Life program
  • Management of contracts with outside vendors.

An ideal candidate will have strong experience in the following:

  • Facilities management/maintenance
  • Capital planning
  • Accounts receivables/payables.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed to interact with campus partners, students, families, and community members. Effective time management, attention to detail, and managing competing priorities will be necessary for success. In addition, the candidates will devote themselves to supporting the academic mission of the new student community and diligently work towards meeting the four strategic objectives of this project.

  • A Bachelor's degree is required. Master's Preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in college student housing, administration, customer service, and supervision.
  • All candidates will participate in a background check and drug screening before employment.
  • Compensation package: Based on relevant experience, excellent benefits, including medical, dental, 401K, and professional development funding, are available.
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Pay: $78,000 -$85,000 commensurate with experience
  • Potential Live-On Option Available
