Dean College's School of Business is looking for a dynamic, experienced, student-centered educator to teach sport management and athletic coaching/recreation management courses in person during the Fall 2025 semester. The College seeks Adjunct Faculty who focus on experiential learning and active engagement in their classrooms. Adjuncts chosen to teach at Dean create a compelling and professional learning environment for students of diverse learning backgrounds.

We are seeking an adjunct instructor for the Sport Management program to teach a variety of courses.  These courses are 3-credit courses that meet for 2.5 hours/week.  The adjunct pay rate is $3,300/section. Adjunct faculty are expected to hold one office hour each week for each section they teach.  The Sport Management program provides a course charter with course objectives as well as sample syllabi. All faculty are expected to make active use of the learning management system (Canvas) at least at a minimum level established by the College.

Example courses may include: Sport management, athletic coaching, recreation management, sport analytics, sports sales & ticketing, sport ethics, venue and event management, and others.

Must be able to teach in person on campus.  The course times may vary and will be discussed in the interview process.

Preparation, Training and Experience:

• Master's degree in business, sport management or a related field is required; PhD in a related discipline is preferred.
• Experience teaching at the college level in person is required; experience in the sports industry or teaching within the sport management field is preferred.
• Strong computer skills is required.
• Experience using technologies and/or strategies to enhance pedagogy is required.
• Ability and willingness to be responsive and supportive to students through college online resources and digital tools is required.
• Experience with or willingness to learn Canvas, our learning management system, and classroom media is required.
• Expertise in learner-centered teaching is required.
• Experience and ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse student body with a variety of learning styles, required.
