Summary

The Manager of Technology and Admission Operations position functions as a vital member of a high performing enrollment management team. Serving as the lead strategist of the Slate CRM team, the Manager of Technology and Admission Operations is responsible for appropriate data management and efficient and effective operations. Along with the other team members of the Enrollment Management team, the Manager of Technology and Admission Operations works collaboratively with coaches, faculty, and other departments as we recruit and support students during their college journey.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Vice President for Enrollment, Director of Admissions, and Director of Financial Aid to ensure priorities are met with the ongoing deployment of the Slate CRM in conjunction with the SIS - Colleague.
  • Work across campus to ensure the accuracy of reporting and promotion of a data-informed environment, including serving as a member of committees relevant to enrollment technology.
  • Lead and coordinate annual cycle prep in advance of each recruitment campaign.
  • Oversee and manage the data transfers between Colleague (SIS), Slate (CRM), Front Rush, and other systems.
  • Assist with building and maintaining queries in Slate for various initiatives, including but not limited to deliver mailings, counselor and student call team contacts, campus visits, and decision creation.
  • Manage decision letter mail merge processing, upload, and release of Admission, Merit Scholarship, and Financial Aid offer decisions.
  • Create fields, prompts, templates, and interactions in Slate CRM as needed.
  • Build and maintain a designated recruitment territory, including domestic travel primarily in the fall.
  • From inquiry to enrollment, manage recruitment territory goals by initiating, responding to, and nurturing connections with prospective students and families.
  • Use market data and performance metrics to evaluate and improve recruitment strategies.
  • Conduct individual interviews and campus tours for prospective students and their families.
  • Guide students and families through the admission process, including financial aid and scholarships.
  • Evaluate applications and present recommendations to the admissions committee.
  • Assist in planning, preparation, and participation in all major on-campus and virtual recruitment events, including evenings and weekends.
  • Communicate regularly with prospective students via phone, email, text, and other platforms.
  • Provide exceptional student-centric customer service throughout the admission process.
  • Assists with coverage of front desk and main phone line.
  • Represent Washington & Jefferson College's values, mission, and brand with authenticity and enthusiasm.
  • Other duties as assigned, which may include project leadership, event planning, targeted outreach campaigns, social media marketing, and communications development.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree, 1- 3 years of relevant work experience preferred, and a valid driver's license are required. We are looking for candidates with demonstrated excellence in writing, oral communication and oral presentations; knowledge of and an enthusiasm for a liberal arts education; proven ability to organize and follow through on projects; information technology competency; willingness to travel; and evidence of the ability to establish rapport easily with a wide variety of people.

Additional Criteria

  • On-site/flexible work schedule with primary schedule Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Valid driver's license is required
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods
  • Available for work on weekends and evenings as needed
  • Willingness to carry recruitment materials
  • Ability to pass background check and child abuse clearances

Supervisory Duties

The position does not require managing other employees.
