LOCATION: Green Bay

STANDARD HOURS: 40 hours per week. Typical hours Monday - Friday between 7:00 am - 5:00 pm; Flexibility required to include other evening and/or weekend hours, as necessary.

SALARY RANGE: $58,916 - $63,499 per year

*Salaries/Wages for all finalists (internal and external) will be placed within the range based upon education, experiences, current wages, and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the role is to recruit, process admissions materials, and provide comprehensive support of international students at NWTC Secondary support for our domestic students will be provided as needed and as caseloads are determined. This position serves as the main point of contact for all international students from recruitment through graduation, while working with various college departments to ensure district-wide support. Works with Principle Designated School Official and other Designated School Officials to ensure both institutional authorization and individual student compliance with federal visa regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Serve as one of the Designated School Officials. Maintain institutional compliance with federal regulations pertaining to student visas. Process various immigration forms and documents including timely reporting of applicable data to SEVIS and appropriate government agencies.
  • Monitor changes in immigration policy to ensure institutional practices remain compliant with evolving federal regulations. Advise prospective students on the admissions process and visa compliance as well as other aspects of acclimating to the college, community, and US culture.
  • Process international student applications and assist with necessary documentation for visa issuance.
  • Coordinate and deliver international student orientation programs each semester, covering visa regulations, academic expectations, and cultural adjustment.
  • Support currently enrolled international students, offering guidance on visa compliance, academic success, cultural integration, and providing continued support throughout their academic journey, from onboarding through graduation.
  • Compile and analyze international student prospect data, including through development of reports to demonstrate quarterly FTE conversion rates.
  • Collaborate in cross-functional college teams (i.e., Marketing, Early College, Advisories, Learning Departments, etc.) to execute various recruitment and enrollment focused initiatives.
  • Create and update marketing materials and ensure accuracy of content on the international student section of the college website to support recruitment, engagement, and compliance efforts.
  • Contribute to international institutional accreditation processes in SEVIS by providing relevant data and program accreditation information.
  • Establish 1:1 relationship by being the primary point of contact for prospective and inquiring students from K12 to returning adults - for the entire admission process through new student orientation. Support assigned outreach territories, including area K12 districts, community organizations, and/or divisional programs.
  • Act as the ‘face’ of NWTC by speaking publicly at events and leading individual and group tours to promote NWTC to prospective students, families, and community members.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2 years of experience in international recruitment/advising, international student services or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to maintain electronic records in database management system.
  • US Citizenship or permanent residency as mandated by federal regulations.
  • Ability to travel internationally several weeks at a time for recruitment fairs.
  • Comfort public speaking and presenting.
  • Ability to understand cultural nuances and differences and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the district’s standard insurance policy terms.
  • Ability to obtain a passport and/or country-specific visa as appropriate.

**An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SEVIS system preferred.
  • Bi-lingual preferred.
