STANDARD HOURS: 40 hours per week. Typical hours Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; Flexibility required to include other evening and/or weekend hours, as necessary.
SALARY RANGE: $58,916 - $63,499 per year
*Salaries/Wages for all finalists (internal and external) will be placed within the range based upon education, experiences, current wages, and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY
This role focuses on recruiting and guiding students through high school equivalency, English language acquisition, and Career Pathways Bridge programs at the Green Bay campus and across the district. Key responsibilities include collaborating with Literacy Green Bay for seamless student referrals between educational levels, providing case management to support student persistence and success, and coordinating all marketing efforts for these programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Conduct student assessments to determine placement at Literacy Green Bay or NWTC in high school equivalency or English language acquisition classes based on literacy levels.
- Facilitate transition of GED® and ELA students at NRS Levels 1 & 2 to Literacy Green Bay.
- Facilitate transition of GED® and ELA students from Literacy Green Bay to NWTC when they reach NRS Level 3.
- Facilitate transition of GED®/HSED and ELL students to post-secondary programming.
- Case manage GED® and ELA students on all campuses.
- Recruit students for high school equivalency, English language acquisition and Career Pathways Bridge programs via mail, e-mail, phone, in-person appointments, and informational sessions and maintain a file of potential students.
- Schedule or administer assessment testing of students to determine eligibility for Career Pathways Bridge and the Ability to Benefit (ATB) programs.
- Navigate students through enrollment process to include Career Pathways Bridge admission paperwork, program entry requirements, payment plans, etc.
- Process student class enrollments and provide summary of class schedule to students each term.
- Serve as liaison between students and ancillary departments, such as Assessment, Student Finance, Admissions, etc.
- Serve on and represent NWTC on community-based organizational committees that serve underrepresented populations.
- Case manages existing students and provides assistance to ensure persistence and completion of high-school equivalency, English language acquisition, or Career Pathways Bridge program, and/or transition to post-secondary school.
- Schedule and facilitate informational sessions, both on campus and off, for recruitment of new students.
- Coordinate advertising of high school equivalency, English language acquisition, and Career Pathways Bridge programs to include radio, print and community outreach.
- Collect, organize, and maintain accurate student records.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Associate Degree in related field, required
- Two years of recruitment, customer service, administrative assistant or related experience, required.
- Experience in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook required
- Bilingual – English and Spanish required.
**An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field, preferred.
- Experience in Workday is preferred.
