Under the general direction and supervision of the Office of Work-Based Learning’s Apprenticeship Director, the Administrative Assistant I provides support to the Office of Work-Based Learning and, in particular, to the documentation, recordkeeping, and communications related to Office of Work-Based Learning Grants. The Administrative Assistant will work from the Beatrice Campus. This is a part-time, temporary grant-funded position with funding availability through June 30, 2026.

Essential Functions        

  1. Update and maintain grant spreadsheets, documentation, and records.
  2. Enter and maintain electronic data.
  3. Maintain confidentiality and strict adherence to FERPA regulations regarding student records and information.
  4. Maintain timely communication with grant participants.
  5. Assist with report preparation.
  6. Assist with marketing activities and event coordination.
  7. Coordinate data collection from internal departments.
  8. Support and demonstrate Office of Work-Based Learning core values: Visionary, Results-Oriented, Learner-Centered, Labor Market Driven, Servant Leaders.
  9. Other duties as assigned in support of grant objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. High School graduate or GED.
  2. Minimum of two (2) years of administrative/clerical experience or one (1) year of office experience plus one (1) year of related formal training.
  3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Salary   

$16.70 per hour

Benefits              

Part-time temporary employees are eligible to participate in the TIAA retirement plan through a Roth, SRA, or 457(B) account, with no match provided by the College.

Schedule            

Normal hours of work for this part-time temporary position are scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, based on a 29-hour workweek. Scheduled special activities, emergencies, or temporary schedule changes may require hours outside of the regular workday or workweek. This position is on the Beatrice Campus.
