The Senior Associate Director of Admissions will direct student recruitment off-campus, focusing on increasing the diversity of the applicant, the admitted, and the enrolling student population from a specific population. The Senior Associate Director will focus on inclusive admissions practices including but not limited to: targeted recruitment in underserved recruitment markets, pre-college programming, targeted admissions events and fostering student connections with other service units. The Senior Associate Director will assist in ensuring an inclusive and welcoming environment by directing the visitor to activities.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience working with diverse college students; excellent communication and collaboration skills to develop and maintain relationships with campus partners; and strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement a data driven Philadelphia recruitment plan for the Office of Admissions with emphasis on traditionally underrepresented populations
- Oversee the Office of Undergraduate Admissions nondegree programs
- Manage the admissions recruitment budget for Philadelphia recruitment with discretion over how the funds are allocated
- Supervise a clerical assistant 2 employee
- Lead team responsible for outreach initiatives for nondegree and Philadelphia students, including targeting first-generation and low-income students
- Suggest and implement new outreach efforts to meet prospective students, including historically under-represented groups
- Train the admissions staff on projects and initiatives related to nondegree and Philadelphia recruitment
- Supervise the visit experience for nondegree and Philadelphia recruitment
- Serve as the liaison to the Office of Financial Aid to assist with the financial aid process
- Serve as the liaison with the School District of Philadelphia for Nondegree students
- Serve as the liaison with the Philadelphia Campus
- Build and maintain positive relationships with prospective students and families, high school partners and community organizations
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

- Master’s Degree
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in admissions

Preferred Qualifications

- Demonstrated customer service experience
- Professional work experience in admissions
- Experience with application review and making admissions decisions
- Demonstrated experience developing diversity recruitment strategies
- Demonstrated experience developing outreach strategies
- Experience managing staff (student or professional)
- Experience using document management tools and CRM systems (Slate) for prospect and applicant management
