College-Wide, NE United StatesUnder the general direction and supervision of the Dean, Career Technical Education, the Administrative Director, Industry and Workforce Partnerships plays a critical role in facilitating strategic collaborations between the college and industry partners in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) fields. This individual will be responsible for the coordination and facilitation of the Workforce Leadership Teams (WLTs), ensuring the alignment of workforce development initiatives at the college with industry needs within the 15-county service area. This position will be responsible for meeting with industry partners as a first point of contact to identify the needs of the company and provide connections with the college’s internal departments to support the business needs of the company. When appropriate, this position will then also collaborate with the internal and external parties to ensure the initiatives are completed. This position will also work closely with the college’s Resource Development team to identify grant funding opportunities to support identified priority initiatives within the college, specifically in the CTE areas.
This full-time regular position will work closely with industry leaders to assess workforce needs, identify partnership opportunities, and provide guidance on the development of training programs (both credit and non-credit). Additionally, the Administrative Director will help track trends from WLT meetings, guiding discussions to inform program development and resource allocation across the college’s CTE division.
Essential Functions
Leadership/Management
- Administer the SCC Curriculum Review Program (previously called DACUM)
- Develop, Implement, & Evaluate Credit for Prior Learning Options and other pathway opportunities to increase enrollments and meet workforce needs. (e.g., Micro-Credentials, Digital Badges, Industry Certifications, Ongoing Certifications, and Micro-Credentials).
- Oversee SCC’s Workforce Leadership Team Process
- Develop and implement strategies for outreach, recruitment, and retention of students.
- Collaborate on programs to identify pathways for non-traditional students to pursue additional education.
Communication and Public Relations
- Actively develop and manage a network of relationships with relevant employers, community and regional groups, professional and business organizations, and oversight agencies to facilitate program development. Make presentations to promote learning opportunities.
- Communicate, present, and respond to questions about the program from faculty, staff, students, and the public via appointment, phone, email, and in person.
- Assess program and analyze participant evaluation data and employer feedback for quality and continuous improvement. Perform regular business and corporate site visits to ensure quality learning experiences and outcomes.
Cooperation/Coordination/Collaboration
- Coordinate with division deans, program leadership, faculty, and workforce staff to develop and implement courses and programs as needed to meet the needs of employers.
- Collaborate with the College’s Marketing & Communications Office, department, and division teams to develop program campaigns and special promotional materials.
- Partner with the Resource Development team on finding funding opportunities to support college and industry-driven initiatives related to training and workforce.
- Provide Facilitation training for faculty and staff looking to be part of the WLT facilitation process.
Participate in Professional Development Activities
- Participate in professional conferences and meetings; relevant local, state, or national educational activities; and maintain relationships with professional counterparts and other institutions.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Workforce Development, Human Services, Business, or a related field.
- Three (3) years* of relevant professional experience in education, workforce training, program development, or a related area—experience in post-secondary, community-based, or industry settings preferred.
*A Master’s degree may be substituted for one (1) year of the required work experience.
Salary
$72,108 per year
Benefits
SCC BEN Dollars – Eligible Employees: Full-time status. Regular employees with an FTE of 0.75 or greater will be eligible for SCC Ben Dollars. All employees will be required to elect a health insurance option. If the cost of insurance coverage selected by an employee exceeds the SCC Ben Dollars available, all additional costs will be withheld from the employee’s paycheck. Any SCC Ben Dollars that the employee does not elect to use for the purchase of dependent health and dental insurance will be paid to the employee in cash at $0.93 per $1.00 benefit dollar. All amounts paid are subject to withholding for income and employment taxes, but not subject to the College’s contribution toward the Retirement Savings Plan – Group Retirement Account (GRA).
Schedule
Normal working hours for this full-time regular position are scheduled between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, requiring a minimum of a 40-hour work week, based on a 260-day work calendar. Scheduled special activities, emergencies, or temporary schedule changes may require hours outside of the regular workday or workweek.
