And The Winners Are...
The 2008 College Cartoonist Contest has concluded and StudentAffairs.com is pleased to announce the following winners.
FIRST PLACE Ryan Stolp - Tufts University
Ryan, has a weekly comic strip, Petey & Chuck and also does editorial cartoons for his weekly
campus magazine. He sends a shout-out to Lazer, who is an excellent joke checker.
SECOND PLACE Hannah A. Chang - University of California Davis
Hannah is a cartoonist for the campus newspaper at UC Davis, The Aggie. She loves storytelling, drawing, and making people laugh, so it's no great
wonder that reading and making comics are her favorite past time.
THIRD PLACE Emily Regan - University of Massachusetts, Amherst
Emily is a Freshamn Philosophy major and plans to minor in both art and
German. As a citizen of Martha's Vineyard island, she is constantly
hearing from rich tourists at work how there are (sarcastically) many well-paying
jobs in these fields. However she is not deterred from her dream of becoming a
cartoonist, even if it means living off of Ramen noodles and coffee in a small
cement room after college, as well.
