    Under the direction of the Director of Equal Opportunity and Compliance, the Compliance and Database Coordinator is a liaison for EQOC and internal and external constituents. These campus partners include the Offices of Student Conduct; Residence Life; Athletics; Health, Wellness and Identity; Department of Public Safety; Counseling Center; Human Resources; Employee and Labor Relations, and Registrar’s Office, police departments, and Crime Victims Center.  The Coordinator is responsible for administrative, logistical, and technical support for the intake and management of all reports related to misconduct, harassment, and discrimination.  This position is a highly confidential assignment requiring the utmost respect and privacy. 

    The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience working in higher education or community agency setting on incidents and issues of discrimination, harassment or sexual misconduct; experience partnering community agencies and resources; expertise with Title IX, Clery, VAWA, Campus SAVE and FERPA; and the ability to work with confidentiality, sensitivity, autonomy and discretion; and independent decision making.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Serve as a first point of contact for complainants impacted by misconduct, discrimination or harassment
    • Provide Care Notifications to individuals impacted by discrimination or harassment and respond to any requests for supportive measures in consultation with the Director of Equal Opportunity and Compliance
    • Assist students and employees who have been impacted by harassment or discrimination with medical, mental health, socialization, academic, employment, and/or behavioral needs (supportive measures) to ensure they access appropriate support systems and monitor the progress of any referrals
    • Assist students in arranging appropriate appointments with on and off campus services and monitor the progress of any referrals
    • Provide notifications and notifications to respondents
    • Assist students with mental health, academic, and/or behavioral needs to ensure they access appropriate support systems
    • Provide updated communications, consultation and support to administrators, faculty and staff, when necessary, in cases of discrimination and harassment
    • Establish and maintain a network of partners to aid in the support of the complainant and respondent
    • Maintain contact with police on criminal cases and provide updates to appropriate campus partners
    • Oversee logistics for investigations related to harassment or discrimination with complainants, respondents, and witnesses including arranging interview times, locations, communications and updates to the respective parties
    • Develop and maintain understanding of current Title IX, Clery Act, Campus SAVE, Title II, FERPA, and other legislation regarding students’ rights and services
    • Maintain case records, confidential files, and information about complainants, respondents and witnesses through an established database.
    • Prepare comprehensive reports and data from the database; analyze findings, identify trends and make recommendations as needed  
    • Provide administrative and logistical support for workshops and training sessions related to sexual misconduct and discrimination
    • Assist in strategic projects 
    • Other duties as assigned

     

  • Minimum Qualifications

  •  

    • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field
    • Demonstrated knowledge of federally protected classes, Titles VI, VII, and IX, Clery, VAWA, Campus SAVE and FERPA
    • Two years of experience in a higher education or community agency setting
    • One year of experience with incidents and issues of sexual misconduct, discrimination or harassment
    • One year of experience with community agencies and resources
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

     

  • Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Higher Education, Psychology or related field 
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing databases (example: MAXIENT)
  • Experience writing complex reports and data analysis  
  • Excellent written communication skills

    Salary and benefits are dictated by the State College and University Professional Association (SCUPA) Collective Bargaining Agreement.

    Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act and Act 73 of 1988, West Chester University publishes a combined Annual Security and Fire Safety Report (ASFSR).
