Franklin, MA United StatesThe Seasonal Recruiter plays a key role in supporting the College's recruitment and enrollment goals. Serving as a primary representative of the College during the peak recruitment season, this position is responsible for engaging with prospective students and families through high school visits, college fairs, recruitment events, and follow-up communications.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the college admissions process and a genuine enthusiasm for working with students and families. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, resourceful, and possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This is a 14-week, non-exempt position running from late August through late November, with a fixed hourly rate of $24.00 per hour. Weekly hours may vary, up to 29 hours per week. There are two positions available.
This position may be campus-based in Franklin, Massachusetts, or remote from an approved East Coast location, including Florida, Philadelphia, the New York metropolitan area, or the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Positions responsibilities include:
- Participate in recruitment travel between early September and late November to support enrollment goals within an assigned territory.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of recruitment travel, including scheduling high school visits, college fairs, and other recruitment activities.
- Conduct admissions interviews and provide thoughtful, timely assessments of prospective students.
- Deliver engaging admissions presentations to prospective students, families, school counselors, and other key stakeholders in both in-person and virtual settings.
- Prepare and submit regular reports related to recruitment activities, territory engagement, and travel schedules.
- Maintain availability for evening and weekend events as needed during the recruitment cycle.
Preparation, Training, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, required.
- Minimum of one year of professional or student experience in admissions or a related field.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in the use of technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, web-based platforms, and student information systems.
- Willingness to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends.
