POSITION: Residential Life Weekend Desk
REPORTS TO: Assistant Dean of Students
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
PURPOSEOF THE POSITION: To support all aspects of the Residential Life Office (RLO) operations on the weekend.
RESPONSIBILITIESAND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Maintains a log of all incoming calls received in the RLOand distributes phone messages.
• Checks emails and responds as needed for the RLO.
• Maintains student check-in/check-out andvisitor’s permission logs via the Reach student life
management system.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a clerical or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in verbal and written communication.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office and Google suites.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and relate to students, parents, and school officials in a positive and professional manner.
• Organization and timemanagement skills.

Weekend Desk Coordinator (Part-Time, $15/hour | Be the Frontline of Campus Life!)

Support Arkansas’s top high school and help create a safe, welcoming weekend experience for gifted students from across the state. The Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts (ASMSA) is hiring a Weekend Desk Coordinator to join our Residential Life Office for the 2025-2026 academic year. This part-time, 10-month position is perfect for someone who enjoys
structured work, helping others, and being part of a dynamic educational environment.

Position Highlights:
• $15/hour
• Weekend schedule only (Saturday 10 a.m.–11 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.–10 p.m., flexible within those hours)
• Work in historic downtown Hot Springs, steps from trails, coffee shops, and the National Park
• Help keep students safe, informed, and supported during their weekend activities

Your Role on the Weekend Desk Team:
• Be the first point of contact for students, parents, and staff during weekend hours
• Answer calls and emails from families and visitors
• Monitor student check-in/check-out procedures
• Support the Residential Life staff with general clerical and administrative tasks
• Help ensure a smooth, organized, and safe weekend environment for all residential students

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Strong communication skills—you’ll be talking with students, staff, and families
• Great organization and time management
• A dependable presence and a calm, helpful attitude
