The Coordinator for Student Organization Services provides advice, support, mentorship, and supervision to the SORC Finance Account Specialists, the SORC Finance Account Manager, and the SORC Finance Office Manager, assists student organizations with the funding process and provides administrative support to student organizations utilizing the services of the Student Organization Resource Center’s (SORC) Financial Services.

  • Oversee administrative and financial functions for recognized student groups requesting financial services from the Student Organization Resource Center which includes internal service requests, purchase orders, contracts; travel arrangements; maintaining reconciliation of student organization accounts ledgers against Workday financial statements; in coordination with SORC Development staff, create and modify content for training materials and resources.
  • Manages the recruitment, hiring, on-boarding, and training of student personnel; determines work priorities schedules and assignments for student personnel and reviews of their work; processing payroll appointments and stipends for SORC Finance, Student Entertainment Events, and the Student Government Association;
  • Assist with budget development and management of the SORC Finance office budget; oversee transition to Workday and other university systems/platforms that impact office operations
  • Provide support to student groups related to organizational bank accounts ; Provides event support to other Activities units and the larger Stamp department; and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two year full time experience is required. The person must possess strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail. SORC is committed to and has an appreciation for the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion. Candidates must possess an awareness of how identity impacts bias in decision-making processes. Exceptional customer service skills are required. Must have the ability to build relationships across campus. Must be able to work occasional evenings and occasional weekends.

Preferences:
Master’s degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, or related field and two years’ full-time experience advising and/or providing support to student organizations is preferred. Ability to direct and supervise others and incorporate student development theories and technology in the advisement and provision of services to student organizations is preferred. Additionally, strong accounting and financial management skills and experience managing/overseeing/supporting large budgets is a benefit.

Physical Demands:
Work takes place in both an office environment and in on-campus buildings; will require ability to travel throughout campus. There may be occasions when the incumbent will need to work outside their normal work shift to accommodate other shifts that exist in the organization for purposes of meetings, training, etc.

Additional Information:
Competitive benefits and salary package. FY25 salary range is expected to be between $63,500 and $67,500, commensurate with experience.
