Volunteers Make A Difference!

On February 14, 2003 two hundred Western Idaho College (WIC) students volunteered to donate blood at the first annual "Are You My Match?" Blood Drive in downtown Orofino.  The successful blood drive was to help increase the local blood bank's diminishing blood supply.

for Spring 2003

Student Center

Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 1:00 am

Saturdays 7:30 am to 2:00 am

Sundays 7: 30 am to 1:00 am

 

Cherry Street Market, 2nd floor Student Center

Monday through Sunday

Breakfast: 7:00 am to 9:00 am

Lunch: 11:30 am to 2:00 pm

Dinner 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

 

The Bistro, 3rd floor Student Center

Monday through Thursday 10:00 am to 10:00 pm

Fridays 11:30 am to 1:00 am

Saturdays 5:00 pm to 12:30 am

Sundays 5:00 pm to 11:30 pm

School of Education Faculty Awarded
Women and Minorities Grant

    Dr. Lisa M. KitKat was recently awarded the Women and Minorities Grant from the U.S. Department of Education from a total of 200 applicants. The U.S. Department of Education Women and Minorities Grant provides $100,000 in funding towards research that advances minority women in education. "This grant money will fund my research work in the area of increasing support for diversity and the success of minority women who wish to pursue a degree in the field of education."  Dr. KitKat is a visiting scholar from the University of Guam and specializes in Women and Gender Studies.
