OVERVIEW:

Higher Education has had its share of critics on how we handle students who reports sexual violence and helping them through the traumatic experience. This webinar will give you significant information on building a survivor advocacy program from scratch; how to help survivors of sexual violence and intimate partner violence; and how to do outreach in your community to meet VAWA/ Title IX requirements as well as assisting survivors you do not even know about yet. We will discuss impact, realities and prevention.

SPEAKER:

Dr. Maureen "Moe" McGuinness is the Dean of Students/ Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of North Texas in Denton, Tx. Dr. Moe has been in Student Affairs for 22 years in a myriad of areas. She currently oversees Student Conduct, Student Withdrawals, Survivor Advocacy, Clery, Student Legal, Substance Abuse Resource Center, and Greek Life. She is also a Deputy Title IX Coordinator.
