Job Description:

 

The College invites applications for a role as Instructional Designer. Responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop traditional, hybrid, and online learning experiences using existing and emerging technologies as well as data collection and analysis techniques.
  • Teach courses and advise students on topics in educational technology and instructional design.
  • Collaborate with faculty, program directors, and subject matter experts to define, design, develop, and evaluate technologically-enhanced instruction.
  • Plan and manage the preparation of instructional design projects.
  • Consult with faculty on knowledge and skill related to learning management systems (LMS), lecture capture, and the technology tools used in physical and virtual classrooms.
  • Identify and use common learning and design models to advise faculty in the development of instructional materials.
  • Identify and apply principles of Ignatian Pedagogy to instructional plans and methods.
  • Define and sequence instructional content and strategies.
  • Conduct needs assessments to recommend appropriate design solutions for a given target population and environmental characteristics.
  • Evaluate and assess instruction and its impact.
  • Apply principles and practices associated with responsible and secure use of information.
  • Coordinate and direct student employees/interns to this work.

 

Requirements:

  • This position requires a Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a closely related field.
  • 1 year of experience teaching postsecondary-level education courses, designing instructional environments, and training others on LMS toolsets and lecture capture technology.

Pay Range:  $59,100 - $64,300 annually
