Dual Enrollment and Early College Coordinator

The primary function of this position includes collaborative efforts with Academic Services and Student Services to manage and oversee all Dual Enrollment and Early College students and high school enrollment at both campus locations. This position will also be responsible for advising Dual Enrolled and Early College students, coordinating registration, participates in communications, promotion, progress tracking, and provides or facilitates support for their academic success. This position reports directly to the Director of Admissions, Marketing & Community Relations. The salary for this position begins at $46,112.

Manages recruitment territory of high schools in Northern Michigan and Northern Wisconsin; serves as a college representative at education and career fairs; maintains ongoing communication with prospective students, parents, and school officials; assists with student recruitment and retention programs such as open houses, fairs, preview days, orientation and other activities.

• Conducts recruitment visits to high schools and attends Education Fairs in Northern Michigan and Northern Wisconsin area.
• Assists with the organization of student recruitment and retention programs.
• Organizes and facilitates campus tours for prospective students and their families.
• Engage in marketing activities to promote dual enrollment and early college program on
campus to students, faculty, and administration, as well as to the community.
• Establish processes and procedures to coordinate and collect documents for admission and
acceptance to the college as an Early College or Dual Enrolled student, as a liaison of the
admission department.
• Organize and coordinate the Early College/Dual Enrollment orientation program.
• Work with high school counselors and students to develop 5-year academic plans for each Dual Enrollment and Early College student.
• Help students identify their educational and career goals and guide students to select programs of study that are relevant to these goals and courses that fulfill necessary program requirements.
• Monitors the enrollment status of high school students (repeated courses, Add/Drop, Not
Attending, and Withdrawal) and assists students with the college process associated with each
situation.
• Identify new early college and dual enrollment opportunities and facilitate necessary changes to achieve them

• Target risk and intervention: proactively working with students to prevent course failure and
program stop-out by supporting timely and effective interventions (early alerts), identify
appropriate services, and create support plans to increase student retention and completion.
• Secure program support by building and maintaining communications with faculty,
administration, student services, and other college teams and cross-functional groups.
• Create and maintain a policy and procedures manual for high school students.
• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events for recruitment of Dual Enrollment and Early College
students.
• Maintains ongoing communications with prospective students, parents and school officials.
• Assist students with academic, curriculum, transfer, and scheduling questions as needed
• Provides general support for the admissions office operations as needed.
• Performs other duties as may be required.

Knowledge of/Ability to:
• Principles and practices of college recruiting and advising.
• Basics of marketing and sales.
• Computers and related software programs.
• Community College philosophy, programs, and certificates.
• Recruit prospective students.
• Travel extensively, including some overnight travel.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Use a variety of computer software.
• Manage projects independently.
• Maintain effective working relationships with other people.

Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Any combination of education and experience that
demonstrates possession of the requisite knowledge, skill, and abilities. A typical way to obtain these
would be:
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in the social sciences, or business. Three years of
experience working with students in advising students, student services, college admissions, or support services.
• Valid state driver’s license
