The School of Business at Elizabethtown College invites applications for an adjunct position in Quantitative Methods to begin in August 2021 and to possibly continue into future semesters depending on staffing needs. Applicants able to teach a Quantitative Methods course are encouraged to apply. The course is foundational, 200-level, and covers topics such as the following: decision analysis, forecasting, inventory management, materials requirement planning (MRP), and operations management concepts of enterprise resource planning (ERP), just-in-time (JIT), LEAN operations, and maintenance and reliability. The course is required for most business-related programs, and it is usually targeted at sophomores and juniors.

The School of Business offers B.S. degrees in: Accounting, Business Administration, International Business, Finance, Financial Economics, Marketing, and Business Data Science, and a B.A. degree in Economics.

The School of Business provides students with cutting-edge business skills, a personalized learning experience, and strong ties with the business community. The candidate is expected to exemplify these values. The School of Business is accredited by ACBSP Global and consists of 10 full-time faculty members. We are located in the James B. Hoover Center for Business, a modern facility that hosts smart classrooms; a 95-seat lecture hall; collaborative spaces for networking, team building, and group study; and a finance lab with a Bloomberg Terminal. Required Qualifications:   

Qualified candidates must hold a BA degree in Management, Business, Organizational Behavior, or related field, and relevant corporate experience.

They are also expected to uphold the values of Elizabethtown College (see below) and have a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate liberal arts teaching.

Preferred Qualifications:      Master's degree
