The University of Notre Dame ( is accepting applications for a Associate Program Director- ACE Teaching Fellows.

The Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) Teaching Fellows Associate Program Director provides administrative, recruiting and communications support to advance the mission of ACE. This position reports to the Associate Director ACE Programming and School Partnerships.

Job duties include:

1. Lead Pastoral Formation Efforts for Assigned ACE Teachers and Communities

a. Work in consultation with the Teaching Fellows team and M.Ed. faculty members to support professional, communal, and spiritual growth for individual ACE teachers and their assigned communities.

2. Steward Relationships with Partner Dioceses and Other Stakeholders

a. Work with school and diocesan leaders - as well as other relevant local stakeholders - to support the development of assigned ACE teachers.

3. Help Facilitate the Teaching Fellows Retreat Program

a. Work with the Teaching Fellows team to lead retreats for ACE teachers and alumni

4. Admissions and Placement Support

a. Work with the Teaching Fellows team to improve the selection and placement process

b. Review applicant files, conduct applicant interviews, and work with the Teaching Fellows team to make selection and placement decisions

5. Recruiting

a. Help the Teaching Fellows team develop an ambitious strategy to increase the quantity, quality, and diversity of applicants to the Program

b. Build a network of prominent and credible nominators of prospective ACE applicants from selected colleges/universities

c. Cultivate relationships with highly talented students and alumni who have the work ethic and zeal to serve as outstanding classroom teachers and leaders for marginalized Catholic school students

d. Introduce ACE to new stakeholders and potential applicants at professional conferences, recruiting fairs, and other relevant forums

6. The Associate Program Director undertakes other duties as assigned by the Hackett Family Director of the Institute for Educational Initiatives, the Executive Director of ACE, and the Senior Director of Teacher Formation and Education Policy. In particular, the Associate Program Director may serve other units in ACE's programming portfolio, including the Catholic School Advantage Campaign (CSA), the Notre Dame Center for STEM Education, the Notre Dame ACE Academies (NDAA), and ACE Advocates.


Minimum Qualifications:


Master’s degree required.


2 years Experience


Preferred Qualifications:


Classroom teaching experience is not required, but extremely valuable, preferably in a Catholic school. In addition, preference will be provided to current/recent ACE graduates.
