PREHEALTH AND CAREER ADVISOR, Career Advising and Professional Development (CAPD)-Prehealth Advising and Career Counseling and Education, to serve on the teams that collaborate to help students develop and implement their educational and career plans. The breakdown of the position includes sixty-five percent effort for the Prehealth Advising team and thirty-five percent effort for the Career Counseling and Education team.  Will contribute to the goals and objectives of the teams as well as those pertaining to the entire CAPD office, including providing support with strategic planning, gap analysis, program assessment, data collection, office-wide projects and assignments, and other university-wide initiatives. The Prehealth Advising team works with students and alums interested in applying to medical, dental, and other health-related professional schools.  Will assist in serving approximately 400 students interested in exploring and preparing themselves for a health professional program in the future and organize Prehealth Advising’s programmatic efforts to educate and support the prehealth community.  Will also help the Career Services team, which assistd students and recent alumni in developing and implementing their educational and career plans as well as providing professional development through advising and programming. 

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree; at least two years’ experience, with an emphasis on academic advising, career counseling, student affairs, or related field; and at least one year of experience working in a career center or higher education setting related to career development or academic advising.  PREFERRED: a master’s degree and experience with health profession or health profession advising.  Job #18864-6
