PROGRAM COORDINATOR FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE, Office of Minority Education (OME), to assist with the coordination of academic enrichment and support programs for MIT undergraduates, with a primary focus on underrepresented minority students (Black/African American, Native American, Hispanic/Latinx, Alaskan and Pacific Islander).  Will work with the assistant dean for academic and professional development programs and other OME staff on the coordination and implementation of several key programs (e.g., Interphase EDGE Program, the Talented Scholars Resource Room (TSR^2), orientation and graduation programs, the Committee on Academic Performance (CAP), and Campus  Preview Weekend) and provide general and academic advising to students in these programs; and provide general and academic advising and referrals to students participating in these programs and other student organizations who seek general advising and support. 

REQUIRED:  B.S./B.A. degree in a math/science field, education, student affairs/advising, or related area; at least one year of experience advising college-level students; experience coordinating programs for undergraduate students, particularly underrepresented minority students; ability to multitask and pay attention to detail; and advanced-level computer skills using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, FileMaker Pro, etc.  Job#18827-5

Salary range:  $50 - 58,000

Must be able to work flexible weekly schedule and occasional weekends.
