Elizabethtown College (Pennsylvania) seeks an experienced, energetic, and resourceful leader to serve as Dean of the School of Business. The Dean will work with faculty and institutional leaders to set a strategic direction for the School, enhance the visibility and reputation of existing business programs, and develop new programs that are responsive to the needs of today’s students and employers. Current programs include accounting, business administration, economics, international business, marketing, and finance.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with skills to foster a highly functioning team within the unit and collaborate with other units on campus to look for interdisciplinary educational opportunities. The Dean will seek opportunities to work along with the institution’s School for Continuing and Professional Studies to build connections for adult, graduate, and online education; lead and contribute to fundraising development efforts, secure corporate partnerships, and cultivate donors to advance the initiatives of the School. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean will manage the budget and supervise faculty and staff housed within the School. Depending upon the needs and priorities of the School, the Dean may teach a course within the School.

Required Qualifications:

  • Terminal degree in a field represented in the School (preferred from an ACBSP or AACSB accredited program)
  • Candidates with a master’s degree coupled with strong professional experience may also be considered.
