Area Coordinator, Housing and Residence Life – A19047A1 & A19048A1

The University of Southern Indiana invites applications for two limited term contract Area Coordinator positions. The Area Coordinator positions are full-time professional administrative positions that coordinate and supervise apartments (housing 350-600 students) or a residence hall complex (housing 350-500 students) as members of the Housing and Residence Life team. The Area Coordinator is a live-in position within the department and reports to the Associate Director of Housing and Residence Life.

Area Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: train, supervise and evaluate Resident Assistants. Coordinate area-wide community development efforts, assist in administration of housing-wide student conduct and care, chair a departmental initiative, serve in on-call rotation and engage as contributing member to the Housing and Residence Life team.

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred. Two years related experience required. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills required. Strong customer service skills, written and oral presentation skills required. Must have a vehicle and a valid driver's license; must be able to live on campus.

These are full-time, live-in positions with limited term contracts. Benefits include a fully furnished on-campus apartment, benefits package, and a partial meal plan. The contract is from hire date - June 23, 2023. There is an option for a one-year contract extension depending on the operational needs of the University at the time and employee's performance.
