StudentAffairs.com is pleased to announce the 2009 College Cartoonist Contest, a competition for college and graduate student cartoonists. Winning entries will be featured on the StudentAffairs.com website. Students need to submit two cartoons on the theme of "Campus Life and Technology". The entry deadline is Friday, December 11, 2009. Monetary prizes will be awarded to the top three entries as follows:

1st Place: $350.00
2nd Place: $225.00
3rd Place: $100.00

All other entries will be considered for the StudentAffairs.com(edy) page at a rate of $20.00 per cartoon.

Deadline:
All submissions must be received by December 11, 2009

Content:
Technology can refer to, but is not limited to, such topics as--the Internet, PDAs, cyberdating, e-mail, illegal downloading, cyberstalking, personal computers, instant messaging, spam, pop-up ads, gaming, cellphones, etc. For examples, see last years winners.

Eligibility Requirements:
Students must be registered for at least six credits at an accredited institution of higher education in an undergraduate or graduate program for Fall 2009. Proof of registration may be required.

File Submissions:
Images can be in color or B&W. Scanned images of your original artwork are acceptable. Files should be submitted as either a .jpg or a .gif files in RGB color - in other words, as a graphic that can be seen through your web browser. File size should be no more than approximately 300k. Screen resolution should be between 72dpi to 96dpi and viewable on an average computer monitor screen.

File names must include your name along with a
number 1 or number 2
   EX: johnsmith1.jpg,   johnsmith2.jpg

Submission Information:

  1. Students should send their two cartoons by email
    as an attachment to . Submissions MUST come from the student's .edu email account and make sure they provide information for questions 1-8.

  2. In your subject line write...
    "Cartoon contest submission from (your name here)"

  3. In the body of your email, you must provide answers for items 1-8.

      5. Credits Registered for Fall 2009

      7. E-mail

      8. Personal Biography (25-50 words please).
      Written in the third-person preferably.You can tell us something humorous or personal about your interests, but don't forget to include the basics like school, major, current publishing outlets or projects etc.
