Sam Hemphill is a Senior majoring in Illustration at the University of Kansas. "I am student studying illustration at the University of Kansas. I started drawing my "Lizard Boy" comics for the Daily Kansan my sophomore year. I get many of my inspiration for my comics from events that happen to me in real life."
Kyle Hilton is a Junior majoring in Mass Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern Mississippi.
"I've been working at my college paper The
Student Printz for almost two years now as their editorial cartoonist
while I go to school. With the cartoons for this paper, I've tried
to reflect the things I see living on campus from faulty facilities
to the anxieties of changing majors and so on. The cartoon I am
entering about facebook, myspace, an xanga in the computer labs
actually caused a new policy on campus to go into effect. Now the
computer labs at USM don't allow access to either facebook.com or
myspace. com.
It wasn't my intention, but it was very exciting to see something
like that happen just because of an insignificant cartoon. It was my
proudest moment as a cartoonist, by far."
Nate Nichols is a Junior majoring in Political at Mesa State College.
"Born in Colorado Springs and raised in Sterling, Colorado, I am

than any one person could possibly pursue - drawing being one of them"
